How to report an error
Email editorial@skinrake.com with “Correction” and the page title in the subject where practical. Include:
- the exact page URL and passage;
- what you believe is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or misleading;
- the corrected information you propose;
- links or copies of authoritative, dated evidence; and
- whether you represent an operator or another interested party.
Do not send passwords, full identity documents, seed phrases, payment-card details or unredacted sensitive account records.
How requests are assessed
- Locate the claim. Confirm the published wording, context, source and last check date.
- Evaluate the evidence. Prefer authoritative and primary records that directly address the disputed claim.
- Check materiality. Distinguish a factual error from a difference of opinion, changed circumstance or immaterial style issue.
- Update proportionately. Correct the text, source, evidence-status label, factual finding or editorial placement where the evidence requires it.
- Disclose material changes. Update the modified date and add a correction note when the prior version could materially mislead readers.
Correction, update or disagreement?
- Correction
- A previously published factual statement was inaccurate or materially misleading based on information reasonably available.
- Update
- The original statement was accurate on its check date, but the operator, terms, status or evidence later changed.
- Clarification
- The wording was technically defensible but insufficiently clear about scope, uncertainty or attribution.
- Editorial disagreement
- A reader disagrees with a judgement or weighting. SkinRake reviews the reasoning but does not change a supported opinion merely because it is disputed.
What correction notes disclose
Minor spelling, formatting and link repairs may be made without a note. Material corrections should identify what changed and the correction date close to the affected content or in a visible page note. A change to evidence status, a factual finding or editorial placement caused by new information may be described as an update rather than an error.
This page does not claim that SkinRake has a historical correction log predating its publication. A public log can be added when there are material corrections to record.
Requests from operators
Operators are welcome to supply current terms, licensing records, ownership documents, product details or evidence resolving a specific concern. Commercial status does not change the evidence standard. SkinRake does not promise pre-publication review, favorable coverage or removal in exchange for a partnership.
